Actress Blessing Asibe, famously known for her role as Amaka in the well-loved TV series ‘Super Story’, has made a comeback to Nollywood after a 12-year hiatus.
Explaining her long absence, she shared with Sunday Scoop, “I stepped away from the industry for personal reasons, which I prefer not to discuss. After gaining recognition from my role in ‘Super Story’ by Wale Adenuga, I left the industry a couple of years later and traveled abroad to pursue other ventures. Despite this, the character ‘Amaka’ seemed to stick with me.
“While I was away, fans kept reaching out, expressing how much they missed me and wanted me to return.
“My passion for acting and the immense support from fans motivated me to return to Nollywood.”
Asibe mentioned that since her return, she has been actively involved in film projects.
“I have been back for two years now, working continuously and looking forward to taking on new roles.”
