Prince Okey Kanu, the commissioner for information, while addressing journalists, dismissed claims of a 5 percent equity from the previous administration in the State for Geometric Power, emphasizing the absence of a business relationship or financial commitment during the handover.
Special Adviser Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma echoed this stance, highlighting the lack of documents and information from the former government, expressing the government’s willingness to acknowledge any investment but insisting on the need for evidence.
He also referenced contradictory statements about the payment, suggesting that unfulfilled agreements might undermine the validity of the alleged equity.
