24 Rivers State Assembly Members Sign Impeachment Notice Against Governor Amidst Arson

The ongoing crisis involving the Governor of Rivers State and the state Assembly has escalated further, with 24 out of the 32 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly endorsing an impeachment notice against Governor Sim Fubara.

Earlier this morning at around midnight, the state House of Assembly complex was set ablaze by unidentified individuals, amid speculations that the Governor’s impeachment was imminent.

Subsequently, the House will forward the Impeachment Notice to the State Chief Judge, who will establish a judicial panel to examine the allegations made against the Governor.
