Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has garnered a resounding endorsement from the leadership of the Labour Party (LP) in the state and across 17 local government areas ahead of his one-year anniversary in office on May 29.
Following an extensive meeting attended by the Governor, the entire party hierarchy, all political appointees in the Executive Cabinet, elected members at the National and State Assemblies, and senior stakeholders, the Party unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Otti.
Representative Hon. Obi Aguocha, Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency, initiated the motion to pass the vote of confidence, highlighting Governor Otti’s outstanding performance within just 11 months of assuming office.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, Governor Otti acknowledged the modest achievements of his administration in less than a year, emphasizing the significant transformation from a negative starting point to a position of respect for all Abians.
The meeting, convened primarily for the party hierarchy in the state and local government areas, served to acquaint them with the various appointees of the government, including members of the State Executive Council and local government Mayors.
Governor Otti’s leadership has not only been recognized but celebrated, marking a notable shift in perception and progress for Abia State under his stewardship.
