Gambo Mohammed has been appointed as an assistant coach with the Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars.
Mohammed will serve as a direct assistant to the newly appointed head coach, Abdulahi Maikaba.
The former Kano Pillars striker was part of coach Evans Ogenyi’s coaching staff that secured a promotion ticket in Asaba.
Mohammed played a crucial role in Sai Masu Gida’s NPFL title win in 2013 and 2014.
His experience will be crucial for Kano Pillars during the 2023-24 NPFL season as they bid to maintain their status as an elite club.
The former forward also played for Katsina United during his active days.
