From the information made available to RELIABLESOURCE, emails have been sent to all the winners of the Alex Otti Foundation’s Tertiary Education Scholarship for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The report reads “due to the number of quality applications we got this year, we were able to send feedback to only the winners. If you didn’t make it, we’re sorry. We urge you to remain hopeful for a future of more and bigger opportunities”.

Jude Egbas was the chair of this year’s panel.
Jude Egbas is currently the News Editor of TheCable.ng, one of Nigeria’s foremost online newspapers. Before joining TheCable, Egbas had put in more than a decade of work in helping to shape Nigeria’s news or digital media industry. Egbas first worked as a public relations practitioner before delving into online media. He has interviewed vice-presidents, federal and state lawmakers, governors and top officials across all tiers of government.
Other members of the panel were: Ademola Abayomi Adeeko and Elizabeth Olayiwola, Ph.D.
Ademola Adeeko is a Digital Content Creator, Digital Media and Communications Expert. Armed with ten (10) years of experience in Content Creation/Management, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Reputation Management, he has created and executed social media publicity campaigns for reputable brands, companies, governments, NGOs, SMEs and individuals (local/international). Ademola has worked with MTV Africa to provide event awareness for the Annual MTV Africa Music Awards. (South Africa.) He also worked with YouthHubAfrica as a volunteer on the digital media team for the 2019 edition of the organisation’s annual DARE Conference. He previously worked as a Digital Content Creator at AlphaReach Limited, a digital media company in Abuja, Nigeria, and as a Digital Media & Campaigns Officer at Trace TV West Africa – Anglophone. Ademola currently works as a Digital Communications Officer at the African Union – Africa CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Bingwa Initiative.
Elizabeth Olayiwola, PhD. teaches Film Studies and Production at Kwara State University Malete, Nigeria. She is a Nollywood scholar carving a niche in gender and Nigerian evangelical film-making culture. Elizabeth is passionate about merging practice with theory and as such she initiated the Film for Development series. She is a 2023 postdoctoral fellow at SOAS University of London and a 2019 Lagos Studies Association (LSA) Fellow. She has benefited from several conference and workshop grants funded by prestigious bodies such as DFG, German Research Foundation (2003, 2002), European Research Council (2020), British Academy (2023, 2019), Africa Studies Association USA (2017) and World Bank (2017).
