Tonto dikeh, the famous Nollywood actress turned politician has alleged that Marlian Record boss known as Naira Marley has powerful political allies behind him.

The actress stated this while reacting to Naira Marley’s tweet after his arrest by the police on Tuesday evening following the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Recalls that the Lagos Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, on X on Tuesday night confirmed that Naira Marley had been arrested shortly after his return to Nigeria.

Also, a few minutes later, Naira Marley wrote in a post on his X: “I would like to share that I have just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria, to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation.

“It’s important I do my part for Imole. I will be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”

However, in a widely circulated video on social media, the singer was captured being guarded at the airport before landing in police custody.

Reacting to this on her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh stated that in a just society, Naira Marley would be in handcuffs and not busy tweeting about his return on his phone.

Analysing the singer’s confidence in police custody, Tonto said: “Look who has come back to NIGERIA to assist the police investigate why he and Sam Larry tortured Mohbad.

“I ask again who are those protecting Naira Marley? In the right country, he should be in handcuffs and chains, rather than having a phone to tweet.

“Naira Marley’s confidence looks to me like he has some top political underdogs by his side.”

Reports has it that following the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, were accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s tragic death after a series of documents and videos of the duo subjecting Mohbad to relentless bullying for leaving the record label surfaced on social media.
