Half of P-Square duo, an award-winning Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, has described the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, resolve to use its standby force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger as “total madness.”

RELIABLESOURCE gathered that President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray gave the order while reading out the resolution of the sub-regional body’s extraordinary meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

Reacting via his verified Twitter handle, Mr. P accused the West African body of joining the West to fight fellow Africans.

He wrote, “Africa joins the west to fight Africa. Total madness.”
