In a somber announcement today, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State expressed deep condolences to the grieving family of Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance at the Governor’s office. Mr. Oyekanmi met an untimely demise at the hands of a daring robbery gang in Abeokuta, the state capital, this Wednesday.
The shocking incident occurred as the deceased accountant was transporting a substantial sum of money in a bullion van from two commercial banks to the governor’s office.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Lekan Adeniran, Governor Abiodun conveyed his profound sorrow over the tragic loss. He described Mr. Oyekanmi as a dedicated, truthful, and diligent official whose untimely death has deeply impacted the administration.
