In Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, a tragic event unfolded as a young woman lost her life during an intimate encounter with her boyfriend on October 30, 2023, at a guest house in the Temidire community within the Offa Garage area of Ilorin.
Local residents disclosed that the man, who operates a barbershop, had apparently used drugs in an attempt to impress his girlfriend, leading to an unforeseen and tragic outcome. According to reports by the Nigerian Tribune, the young woman grew fatigued during their encounter, ultimately succumbing to this unfortunate circumstance.
Upon realizing that the lady had lost consciousness, the man raised an alarm, prompting the guest house staff to take notice. The woman was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where, regrettably, she was confirmed to have passed away.
The guest house owner promptly reported the incident to the ‘A’ Division of the Ilorin Police, resulting in the boyfriend’s arrest.
Okasanmi Ajayi, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, officially confirmed the incident on October 31 and informed the public that the man had been detained. Additionally, he revealed that a comprehensive investigation had been initiated to unravel the circumstances surrounding the young woman’s tragic demise.
