Governor Alex Otti has inaugurated the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council (AGEAC) with Ms. Arunma Oteh as Chairman, aiming to position Abia State as a thriving economic hub.
The council, comprising 18 distinguished individuals, including Khaleefa Muhammad Sanusi II and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will collaborate with the state government to attract global investments across various sectors.
Governor Otti highlighted Abia’s potential in agriculture, fashion, and metal fabrication, expressing confidence in transforming the state into a robust enterprise ecosystem.
The governor emphasized the commitment to infrastructural development, environmental sustainability, health, and education, outlined in the 2024 budget.
The council members, recognizing Governor Otti’s achievements, pledged support for his vision to make Abia the fastest-growing economy. Other notable council members include Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui Okauru, Mr. Chidi Ajaegbu, and Dr. Uzodinma Iweala, among others.
