Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, and a crop of prominent Nigerians, including the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, on Friday gathered in Arochukwu as former senator, Mao Ohuabunwa, buried his wife, Nimi.

Late Barrister (Mrs.) Ohuabunwa, who passed away in July at the age of 61, was buried in her husband’s country home, after a funeral service attended by a cream of political bigwigs across the different parties.

In attendance were Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, former governors of Abia and Rivers states, Okezie Ikpeazu and Nyesom Wike, and a retinue of other PDP chieftains.

Gov Otti, in a short remark during the funeral service which held at the All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Ugwuavo, consoled Senator Ohuabunwa, urging him to take solace, knowing that his late wife is in a better place.

He described the Late Nimi Ohuabunwa as “a woman of character and excellence”, who will be remembered for her “humility and godly virtues”.
