In a significant development, Organized Labour has officially declared a comprehensive and indefinite nationwide strike set to commence on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
This decision was made public by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) following an emergency meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.
It’s worth noting that the labor unions had previously issued a stern warning of a strike in response to the recent attack on NLC President, Joe Ajaero, which took place in Imo State last week.
