Nigeria Police Declare Somawina Ekene Clement Wanted After Escape During Same-Sex Raid

The Nigeria Police have declared Somawina Ekene Clement, 42, wanted following his escape after being apprehended in an alleged same-sex incident during a security operation at a hotel in Delta State.

According to information surrounding the incident, Clement and Peter Amadi were apprehended on September 20, 2023, after officers reportedly raided the hotel room where the two men were staying. The operation followed information that led officers to the location.

The officers reportedly discovered the two men in the hotel room and accused them of being involved in a same-sex relationship. Clement and Amadi were allegedly assaulted with sticks and other objects during the incident.

Clement reportedly managed to escape during the attack. Following his escape, efforts were made to locate Clement, with his whereabouts becoming unknown.

Attempts to locate Clement reportedly extended to his family, with unknown men later visiting his family home and asking his wife about his whereabouts. She reportedly stated that she did not know where her husband was. The men allegedly threatened to find Clement. Meanwhile, efforts were also reportedly made by Amadi’s family to locate him following the incident.

The search for Clement reportedly continued following his escape from the hotel, as efforts were made to establish his whereabouts.

The police have now officially declared Clement wanted in connection with the alleged incident and are seeking information that could assist in locating him.
