Rt. Hon. Andrew Chukwuemeka Hails Hon. Obi Aguocha’s Student Bursary, Cites Beneficiaries from Ubakala Ward B

The Deputy Leader of the Umuahia South Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Andrew Chukwuemeka, has commended Hon. Obi Aguocha, the Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, for his recent empowerment initiative targeting students across the constituency.

In a show of compassion and grassroots commitment, Hon. Aguocha recently disbursed financial stipends to 300 students from Umuahia South ,North and Ikwuano federal constituency, an effort aimed at easing the financial burden of education amidst Nigeria’s rising cost of living. The move has drawn widespread applause from parents, community leaders, and beneficiaries alike.

Rt. Hon. Andrew Chukwuemeka, while expressing gratitude on behalf of the people of Ubakala ward B, particularly praised Hon. Aguocha for what he described as “a heartfelt and timely gesture.” He confirmed that 7 students from his constituency, Ubakala Ward B, have acknowledged receiving the bursary. “We sincerely thank our Honourable Member for this magnanimous gesture. The fact that 7 students from Ubakala Ward B alone have already received this support shows the depth of his reach and care,” he stated.

Chukwuemeka also lauded the federal lawmaker’s humility and accessibility, noting that his down-to-earth approach to leadership has strengthened the bond between the representative and his constituents. “Hon. Aguocha is a man of the people. His presence at community events, festivals, and even private homes reflects a level of humility and love that is rare in public service. Our people feel seen, heard, and represented.”

He further revealed a private conversation he had with Hon. Aguocha during the recent Igba Ekpe Festival in Eziama, Ubakala, where the federal lawmaker disclosed plans to commence the installation of solar-powered streetlights in Umuahia South. “This initiative will not only boost infrastructure but also enhance security in our communities,” Chukwuemeka noted.

The Deputy Leader did not hold back in recognizing Hon. Aguocha’s voice on national matters. “He continues to be a bold and principled voice in the National Assembly, speaking for his people and defending democracy with integrity.”

In closing, Rt. Hon. Chukwuemeka assured that the people of Umuahia South will not forget Hon. Aguocha’s acts of service. “At the right time, we will collectively express our gratitude in a way that truly reflects the value of his contributions,”he concluded.
